This is part of a series of limited edition releases which strive to use up scrap materials from our other designs. This program prioritizes animal product materials, such as leather, hide, and fur. All of these materials are sourced from discard: bin liquidation centres, thrift stores, and dead stock destined for the landfill. Since each release will have a different source, we will detail its exact origin for each item.

This is the Caprine Barrette. Made with goat hide scraps from the hat purse. The purse was made from a damaged goat hide, which required conditioning and repair to be made usable. The design was inspired by the travel luggages of the past, which were as elaborate as their contents. The hat box shape contains make up storage and pockets for a cosmetics bag. The larger scraps went to create a pair of shoes.

The clip comes in 1 of 3 sizes, S: 4.5 cm, M: 5.5 cm, L: 7.5 cm

The clip comes in 2 different styles,

A: Hair grain starts at clip opening and moves towards the clip hinge. This style requires you to clip your hair from the back, but that means it leaves only the flush tip of the opening visible from the front

B: Hair grain starts at the clip hinge and moves towards the clip opening. This style allows you to place the clip in your hair traditionally from the front, but the the hinge is visible.
